Ben, I finally got a chance to take my 49/56 to the range after installing your firing pin kit and a starmetal gas valve. What a pleasure to shoot. Really made that rifle a joy! Thank you.
Just wanted to thank you for your prompt delivery of my gas valve. This gun has never worked better! I’m telling everyone I know about your site. Thank you again and watch out wild boars-your days are numbered! Coyotes too!
Mr. Murray, Just a short “Thank you!” from a loyal customer. Several months ago I was having issues with my Norinco Sks-M. Pierced primers, fail to fires and fail to extract situations threatened to turn the pride of my collection into every owner’s nightmare, a beautiful piece of machinery that couldn’t be used. I started with ordering your firing pin kit to address the pierced primer issue. Less than 100 rds later, pierced primer, bent firing pin. Dismayed, I called your shop for advice. The lady who answered the phone was polite, helpful and truly wanted me to be satisfied. She suggested that I send you my bolt assembly to have you look at it. A week later, you performed your magic on my bolt, replaced the pin and returned it to me. It’s been awhile since then (I wanted to make sure everything was working well before writing). We just hit the 5k round mark since you have worked on my bolt and it’s running beautifully. So in short , thank you from a grateful customer. Your and your staff’s professionalism and customer service are a rarity in this business and a welcome relief.
Hey, I just wanted to send a thank you. Ever since I replaced my OE gas valve on my Yugo SKS with your stainless steel replacement, it has been functioning better than ever. It works better than when I bought it in 2002. Thank you for such a fine product and prompt, quick service. You guys are great. I will definitely do more business with you in the future. Keep up the great work and thank you again for bringing new life in to my old shooter.

Hi Ben. The gas valve arrived today. I installed it over the noon hour. I checked the old and new valves with a dial micrometer and the new was approximately .009″ larger all the way around. A VERY precise fit in to the valve bore and very square edge where it fit into the gas tube, such that I had to use a little extra pressure to re-install the gas tube but did not have to force it. The gun cycled 4 rounds flawlessly. Whatta a fun, no recoil, gun to shoot!! Now just need more Ammo!! Thanx again for your help!
Good Morning Ben! I know you had already shot my rifle after doing the second reaming job, but I figured I’d give you a full range report. I shot 60 rounds of TulAmmo through it yesterday with NO problems at all with popped primers. You can imagine how happy I was! haha So the Yugo with the barrel anomaly no longer pops primers. Great work on my rifle. Thanks for the opportunity to be part of your test group.
Mr. Murray I received my gas valve today. Went out and shot the rifle and the weapon works like a champ. Thank you for the excellent product. My money was well spent. Thanks.
Ben: Just wanted to let you know that the bolt assembly for my SKS arrived a couple of days ago. Thanks. I’ve been to the indoor range to shoot it and it works great. The ammo I was using didn’t. I’ve been reloading steel Berdan primed cases and made the mistake of using Russian primers rather than Winchester. All the Winchester primed ones went bang, none of the Russian primed ones did until I put them through the third time. Cheap stuff. The 3 – 30 round magazines, 2 steel and 1 kydex all work well with rifle. Again, thanks. Great workmanship!
Hey Ben, Just wanted to let you know that I am very satisfied with the work you did on my SKS trigger group and firing pin. I can’t believe how much improved the feel is. Thank you.

Had slam fire with American ammo, 4 and 5 round burst, pin fixed it… Thank you.
Bought a Yugo SKS for my gal, 1980 model, as she likes mine (1986 model) so well and she is a fine shot with it. The firing pin jammed forward after 5 shots. Fortunately that was all the rounds I had in it, so no slam fire occurred. Literally had to hammer it out of the bolt. Near as I could tell the pin just fit the bolt too well, their curves were an exact match. This I discovered after a thorough cleaning, fired one shot, and the pin jammed again. I ordered your spring loaded firing pin and installed it in her rifle. Now no jamming, no slam fire even with soft primer American ammo, and it fires all ammo every time, never a FTF. Great product, will be ordering one for mine, even though mine works fine. Even if your original firing pin, like mine, works fine, I highly recommend this replacement part to everyone with any SKS model.
