Mr. Murray, This email is intended to be feedback on my recent order I placed with your company.

I have had maybe a dozen SKS type rifles. My interest goes back to my time in the U.S. Army; I served as a paratrooper during the end of the Viet Nam War. Do not misread that last statement. There were 2.5 million military people who served “in country” and there are 13.5 million people who claimed to have served in country. I am a Viet Nam era veteran who joined to go but never got to go. All the same while I was in the 82nd at Fort Bragg I saw my first SKS and they have held a place in my interest ever since. I have owned many makes and types, meaning the Chinese, regular type and the so-called “Paratrooper and Cowboy” models, the Russian and now the Yugo. I came across the Yugo from an FFL and friend for mine who got it from an insurance company – literally from a fire sale. The firearm was a little damaged but not too bad. The effect was to take it out of any realm of collectability and place it squarely in the “Project Gun” category. So that is what the subject rifle is – a project firearm for me to learn on.

Now, I am also a member of the NRA and have been since 1978. In this month’s edition of the American Rifleman on page 32 is an article about various accessories currently available for the venerable old SKS. I have always wanted to have a spring loaded firing pin in one and have wondered why somebody hasn’t done exactly what it appears you have done. Made one! So I decided to place the order. To my surprise you also offered a replacement gas valve and since the one on my Yugo is pretty much stuck from the fire damage I ordered both the spring loaded firing pin and the gas valve.

I would like to express my complete and total satisfaction with the quality of the parts I received. Not only that, but with the service your employees managed to deliver the parts. I happen to have a couple of Beretta pistols and I ordered some parts from the Beretta company four days before I placed my order with your company. Both boxes of parts arrived the same day. To go on; Beretta had promised some free extra grip screws as part of a promotion, they messed it all up and did not deliver as they promised. On the other hand your employees threw a free unasked for hat in the box. How cool is that?

Please keep doing business the way you are doing business and maybe expand your product line to include a few Beretta and CZ pistol parts.

I just received the drop in the firing pin and spring I purchased from you a few days ago, And just wanted to personally tell you Thank You and what a great job you have done to keep these Sks’s going , mine worked out perfectly and could not ask for anything better made! It is nice to see people like you reaching out to the history of these weapons and keeping them going and with Great Quality as well not just as a gimmick or to get your money but I can see the excellent workmanship that you have put into these firing pins and the thought process you sir are a genius In my eye what once again I just want to say Thank You to you again and what a Great product you put out there for all of the 762×39 shooters and I know it has to be time consuming and takes great patients and you sir have it all.

In closing I want to say over and over what piece of art you have created, And that mine worked out for me in a matter of 5 minutes total! And I am very happy and pleased with my purchase. So keep up the Awesome! work and I will keep following you in your adventures and hope that you do nothing but keep on with the precise engineering and development of your future creations for the Sks or other creations you may have on the back burner?
