I got my part today (gas valve) for my SKS, the fit was excellent, better than expected. My gas tube fit perfectly as well, not too tight, not too loose. The gun fires better than ever and cycles perfectly. I just wanted to thank you guys for doing such a great job with the product and shipping it out fast as well. Its obvious the people at Murray’s are really on their game, keep up the good work. I will be recommending Murray’s to everyone at the range and look forward to buying more of your excellent products.

Ben – I fired about 200 rounds of the Berdan primed ammo this past weekend with the new trigger\new firing pin and 31 lb hammer spring installed without any malfunctions. Trigger felt Great. No double fires, No Slam Fire. Seems it does a good job at igniting Berdan primers as you didn’t mention any misfires. (Nor have other customers) 🙂 It’s amazing how a correctly configured trigger makes all difference on this SKS. I never had a slam fire but the potential was there with the design of the free floating fire pin. Installing your firing pin gives me peace of mind because I know it is Safe. Money well spent. Thanks again for the wonderful customer service. I will update you if I have any issues but all is working great. Thanks again for making this SKS as safe as possible and fun to shoot.

Ben – My son and I went shooting. We put 50 rounds of golden bear ammo through it no misfires. You installed the 27.5 lb hammer spring. I think it was because you did a great job. I will continue to keep track of any misfires. Happy Easter

I received the upgraded firing pin and spring for my SKS today. I can’t wait to get out and shoot the gun. I can see what a difference the spring will make and I appreciate the mod to the pin hole. Now I can keep shooting that cheap ammo without fouling. Thanks for the hat. I appreciate it and will gladly be your billboard 🙂 Thanks for the quality work!

Dear Ben – I am amazed by the level of customer care of your company. I am extremely grateful and happy for your swift action. This is the spirit that is sometimes missing on the old continent. Thanks for the popped primer, though I’ve never had such problem at all. I’m using old Czechslovakian milsurp ammo, and sometimes new Barnaul ammo (newly made russian ammo, steel case layered with laque or zink, very good quality vs price ratio). Barnaul ammo works pretty fine, accuracy is OKay for me, it’s mostly the shooter anyways… I got a 1 inch diameter accuracy from 60 yards with SKS, iron sights, using bipod, I think it’s OK for me. I attach a picture for you, I don’t know if you have such Barnaul ammo in USA at all. Ammo prices are crazy high in Europe, by the way. The steel case Barnaul ammo costs 45-50 US cents per piece (!), the brass case ammo costs double at least! Brass is having an extra special tax on it as “rare material”, so the price is soaring ever higher. Therefore I’ve never fired brass case 7,62×39 in my entire life! I see that you can buy ammo at half our prices in the USA, must be lovely to shoot twice as much with tha same buck! Hope you are all fine, and in good health. Best regards, have a nice day- Yesterday I got the package (the SKS pin set), all righty! I think this was pretty quick and all is well. You can add “Hungary- been there, done that” to your customer’s list :)! Once again, thanks a lot for your help, kindness and professional sales service! In case you ever visit Hungary, let me know, I buy you a beer (we got excellent pubs, by the way, and the country is beautiful!). I wish you and your family strength and health!

I wanted to let you know that I received the trigger group. I had a chance to take it out to the range this weekend. The feel and pull of the trigger was outstanding. The difference was like night and day. Although, I encountered some light primer strikes, there were drastically less than before; two or three per 20. That is still so much better than every other round. I will try different non-wolf ammo and see if that makes a difference. Thank you!

Okay, success. I got the new spring and hammer back in as you suggested, what a bear. Then I went to the range. I fired 40 rounds in quick succession, 20 each of Wolf and 20 of some milsurp marked 04 65. Not a single misfire. Obviously the 31lb spring solves the problem. (by the way, I’ve never had “popped” or perforated primers as you describe on your website…not yet anyway) I did not notice any increase in trigger pull, although there must have been a little. I’ve never measured the trigger weight with a scale, neither before nor after I did the trigger job. It all seems fine to me. Many thanks for your help. Cheers
