I just had to email you to let you know I receive the firing pin and (believe it or not) I got it installed. I was within 5 minutes of packing the whole bolt and new pin to ship to you to install it for me. But I decided to give it another go and Iā€™m glad I did. When I first started researching an SKS and learned about the ā€œfloating firing pin problemā€, I was turned off and had about decided against an SKS. Then I found your website and read about your product. I knew that I would be ordering the firing pin from you.

My son will be shooting this gun along with me and have a little more confidence that the gun is safe is worth a million.

Mr. Murry, I received the FP kit yesterday. Installation was easy, and it appears very well made. I have only fired a few rounds with it, and it seems to work fine. Nice to have a little extra peace of mind as I have had my SKS double before.

Hey Ben,

Just wanted to write you a well-deserved epilogue to a story with a happy ending. I went out and shot my SKS with your improved bolt assembly yesterday, and put 70 rounds through it with zero failures, after a nasty history of malfunctions. I swear that extractor was throwing brass d*** near twice as far, but maybe it’s just my beaming satisfaction šŸ™‚

Hello

Just to let you know I installed your new firing pin in my SKS. The fit was perfect like a factory part. I took the rifle to the range today and all the slam fires, and repeat shots were now a thing of the past. The rifle performed great, I am very happy.

Received the new pin and gas valve. They both work GREAT!!! My Yugo fires perfectly now, no jams, misfires or shortcycles. Thanks for putting out good parts at a good price. I’ve sung your praises on Surplusrifle.com forums. Hopefully more new owners will be coming your way for parts.

Just an email to let you know how much I appreciate the outstanding service and SKS Firing Pin. It has been quite a while since I had a such friendly and helpful sales interaction.. The pin arrived extremely fast, as promised, and works far better than I had hoped. No more slam-fire, and not having to break down the bolt at the range to tap out the seized pin is a dream come true.

I received the repaired bolt assembly last Friday and plan on trying it out this week, I don’t expect it will give me any problems. I wish I could find a gunsmith of your quality and with your willingness to help customers in my neck of the woods.

Mr. Murray,

I wanted to tell you that your firing pin and gas valve work great. I went to the range two weeks ago with the old style pin still in my sks. I fired about 100 rounds and it started to misfire. Every third or fourth round would not fire. I looked at the rounds and saw that the firing pin was not hitting the primer hard enough. I pulled the bolt out and found that the firing pin was stuck to the rear. This was good because I didn’t get slam fires. I packed up and went home. The mail man had come and your pin was there. I took the bolt apart and replaced the pin and gas valve, cleaned the weapon up and packed it away. Last weekend I was back at the range and fired off about 250 rounds. I went home pulled the weapon apart and the pin was still freed up and returning like it’s designed to. You’re a good man Mr. Murray!!! I’ll be sending you another money order for a pin and valve. Look for it this coming week.

I’ll tell everyone I know that they need to get your pin kit.

Well, didn’t think I’d be needing your services again….one SKS seemed enough for anyone. Little did I know they’d start to look “pretty”…. Anyway, just wanted to confirm prices…couldn’t tell if the web site had been updated recently….. I would like to send my bolt for disassembly and installation of a new SS firing pin and spring. With the prices listed, I make it out to be $41.00. It’s sitting in the box waiting for your confirmation. By the way, the one you did for me last year continues to function beautifully after hundreds of rounds.

Ben,

Spent the day at the range, and just wanted to let you know that I went through about 300 rounds with my SKS (with your new firing pin system installed) with absolutely no FTFs. Used ammo made by Wolf, UMC, Sellior and Ballot, and some unlabled mystery stuff.
